FMCSA Motus transition (verified Sep 10, 2026): FMCSA has temporarily suspended enforcement of biennial updates and USDOT inactivation for registrants whose update was due on or after June 1, 2026, while Motus stabilizes. The update requirement remains; FMCSA will share further guidance. Read the FMCSA notice. DotDue does not use penalty, fine, or deactivation language while this notice stands.

Who it’s for

Primary audience: interstate motor carriers (census carrier operation A) required to file Form MCS-150 under 49 CFR 390.19T(a)(1). Intrastate carriers are only in scope of 390.19T when they need an HM Safety Permit (MCS-150B). Ordinary non-HM intrastate operations are not the focus.

FAQ

Is DotDue part of FMCSA or USDOT?: No. DotDue is a private prep and reminder service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of USDOT or FMCSA.
Can I file for free without DotDue?: Yes. File free at https://motus.dot.gov. Ask FMCSA (ask.fmcsa.dot.gov) is for help only.
Do you submit the MCS-150 for me?: No. You confirm every prefilled field and file yourself. An “I filed” click in DotDue is not proof of filing.
Why aren’t Nov/Dec due months shown?: Under 49 CFR 390.19T, due months run January–October only (last digit 0 maps to October).
What about the Motus enforcement pause?: FMCSA paused enforcement and inactivation for updates due on/after June 1, 2026 while Motus stabilizes. The update requirement remains. See the official notice linked above.
